About Us

Who are we?

Leonie Cowley and Tracy Barnes co-founded AmberBerry as equal partners, with more than 25 years work experience between the two of them in Payroll and HR.
Starting out at Sage VIP as consultants and then later as Payroll Account Managers in the Outsourcing Department, looking after several South African, African and Foreign Overseas payrolls consisting of +/- 2500 employees being paid monthly, bi-weekly and weekly.

From there they moved to Bidvest Catering Services, managing a large payroll for 5 years, consisting of over 50 sites nationwide. Implementing Employee Self Service (ESS), Biometric Clocking and several automated systems to smooth the payroll process to maximum efficiency. 

Included in the team is a dedicated Accountant and HR practitioner with a wealth of knowledge and experience, ensuring statutory compliance throughout.

AmberBerry is a level 4 B-BBEE contributor and a member of SAPA (South African Payroll Association)
